Harrow Weald man charged with robbery after police raids

A HARROW Weald man has been charged after a series of raids by Harrow Police last week.
Andrew Ashodi, 20, of Windsor Road, is one of five men detained by officers on Thursday and has been charged with criminal damage and an alleged robbery in Landsdowne Road, Harrow, on August 29.
He appeared at Harrow Magistrates Court on Friday and was remanded in custody to return on November 5.
Officers raided a house in Burnt Oak Broadway on the same day they arrested Mr Ashodi and detained three men.
One was detained on suspicion of robbery and released on police bail to return in mid-September, one was released without charge and the third had the charges against him quashed at Harrow Magistrates Court.
There was a further arrest at The Meadow Way, in Harrow Weald, on suspicion of three robberies allegedly carried out in late July and early August.
He is accused of snatching high-value Indian gold jewellery and selling it on at a Wealdstone pawn shop.
The raids were part of Operation Chappell, a summer drive against street crime by Harrow Police.
