Wealdstone lose at home to Dagenham and Redbridge
11:27am Wednesday 28th July 2010

Wealdstone lost 3-1 at home to Dagenham and Redbridge in their latest friendly on Monday night.
The opening goal for Dagenham and Redbridge came after 34 minutes when Gavin Tomlin guided his low header into the net. Before Wealdstone had the chance to reply, they had fallen 2-0 behind as Tomlin struck again from close range after his first effort had been parried.
Dagenham made ten changes in the second half including bringing on Graeme Montgomery against his old club.
The visitors killed off the match five minutes after the restart when Montgomery's strike was saved and replacement forward Josh Scott tucked away the rebound. Greg Ngoyi managed a late consolation for the home side late on.
Stones boss Gordon Bartlett said: "I was pleased with the first and third part of the game but the bit in between was a little bit disappointing because I felt we let it get away from us.
"The fitness levels looked decent and I thought we were the better team for the first half hour."
The Stones entertain Championship side Watford this evening at Grosvenor Vale.
